Sharing the Faith: Ramadan 2014 Programs

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Sharing the Faith is an educational program offering opportunities for the larger Chicago community to learn about Judaism, Christianity, and Islam during their respective sacred seasons.   By collaborating with local parishes, congregations, and communities, Niagara will create programs that are nourishing for both the respective community and for a larger interfaith  audience.   Our goal: to increase understanding of each of the Abrahamic faiths, create safe spaces/experiences for reflection, and respectfully showcase each tradition in its unique Chicago flavor.
The holiest month of Ramadan is a time of peace and fellowship for Muslims around the world.  Join us as we explore this holy month of meaning by exploring its origins, narratives, and spiritual themes as presented through voices from the Muslim community in Chicago. The best way to learn is to go straight to the source!

In honor of our 10 years as an organization, Niagara Foundation is excited to partner with Fourth Presbyterian in both hosting and organizing an evening of dialogue and friendship…

A Ramadan Experience brings individuals from different religious and cultural communities together to learn about the significance of the month of Ramadan in Islam, engage in friendly table conversation, and break fast with an Iftar dinner. All faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend.
