NIAGARA BLUE DOT NETWORK

The Niagara Blue Dot Network serves as an opportunity for our friends and community partners to become official Niagara Foundation Members. Membership allows participants full access to Niagara’s resources, including invitations to exclusive events, discounted prices to special programs, and opportunities for networking and developing intimate relationships with distinguished community leaders.
Membership also allows participants to a more personal relationship with Niagara staff, as well as the opportunity to suggest additional programming ideas, content for our dynamic blog, and events that they feel are important for the Chicago community. It is our hope that Members will feel like true members of our Niagara family. Get involved today!

The secondary purpose is to increase the scope and sustainability of our programs and overall impact. By extending the opportunity to pledge their commitment and financial support to Niagara, the Blue Dot Network provides members with the opportunity to participate fully in the fostering of rich intercultural understanding and intercultural collaboration by joining a network of people with similar goals and values.

In 1990, the Voyager 1 spacecraft took a photograph of Earth from a vantage point of 3.7 billion miles above the planet. Suspended in a beam of light on the right side of the frame is what has come to be known as the “pale blue dot.” Seeing our planet as a tiny pixilated speck put the relationship between life and the vast universe into a humbling perspective.

This photograph, titled “pale blue dot,” is a reminder that humans are part of something more than states, nations, and continents. We belong to a single, global community. With this in mind, we are able to appreciate similarities across cultures.

Please consider formalizing your commitment to the important work of Niagara Foundation by becoming a bright “star” in the brilliant constellation of bright, global-minded leaders known as the Blue Dot Network.
