Today is World Philosophy Day

Every person is born with the right to wonder, and the act of wonder is what gave birth to the world of philosophy, which is why philosophy should be recognized and celebrated each year. World Philosophy Day is held on November 19th and is meant to encourage people all over the world to talk about their histories in philosophy, and to encourage dialogue about new ideas and remedies to situations facing our global community. The observance was introduced by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2002 and has always focused on sharing beliefs and fostering conversation on world issues. This year, World Philosophy Day will draw attention to the use of technology and social media and its significance to global communication. Go out and wonder!
