We are pleased to announce a Niagara Forum with Vincent Lyles, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. The title of his talk is “Love”. We are thankful to Turkish American Society of Wisconsin for being co-organizer for this talk.
Short abstract
Today’s society can oftentimes feel as though it is overrun with stories of violence, negativity and despair. Mr. Lyles will speak about that the fact that despite the sometimes bleak realities of life, we need to get back to the basics of who we are and what is important; that at the core of everything – both negative and positive – is love.

In January 2012, Vincent Lyles became the 9th President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, the largest youth-serving organization in the city and the largest Boys & Girls Clubs chapter in the nation. Lyles leads the Clubs with more than 800 employees and nearly 600 volunteers, with the sole mission of creating brighter futures for Milwaukee’s children.
Lyles recognizes that in order to fully support the children in our community, the Clubs must ensure that basic needs are met first, which is why every child that enters a Club receives a meal at no cost. From there, the Clubs provide a wealth of innovative and impactful programs that help kids and teens move beyond their circumstances and achieve successful and productive lives.
“Despite the challenges our kids face every day – poverty, violence, lack of positive role models – they are resilient, talented and hopeful for a brighter future. They just need more of us to take notice of them. That’s where Boys & Girls Clubs steps in,” says Lyles.
Prior to joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Lyles served as President of M&I Community Development Corporation (CDC) where he grew CDC’s investment portfolio from $53 million to $130 million. Before CDC, Lyles was a director with Robert W. Baird & Co. and provided financial advice to Wisconsin municipalities, school districts and special taxing units.
Lyles continues to serve his community outside of Boys & Girls Clubs by volunteering at Safe & Sound and as an active board member at Milwaukee Succeeds. Lyles also serves on the Boards for Delta Dental of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. He is a member of the Milwaukee Cultural and Entertainment Task Force and the Greater Milwaukee Committee.
In March 2015, Lyles was honored by Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver with the “Driven to Achieve” award in recognition for his leadership and service to the Milwaukee community.
A product of Milwaukee Public Schools’ Madison High School, Lyles is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the University of Wisconsin – Madison Law School. Lyles is married and has two children.
