Laila Muhammad, daughter of Iman W.D. Mohammed, will join us for an intimate round table discussion about the importance of charity within faith. Ms. Muhammad, who works with the Zakat Foundation, will explain the emphasis on giving to charity from the Muslim perspective.

Laila Muhammad is the daughter of late Iman Warith Deen Mohammed, who branched off of The Nation of Islam to create The World Community of Al-Islam, later to be known as American Society of Muslims. Ms. Muhammad is the Community Development Coordinator for Zakat Foundation of America.

She is also the Director of the Zakat Foundation Chicago Community Center.
