ENTRY ARTIST ELIGIBILITY:
Artist must be A MOTHER from any age and any cultural backgrounds.
WORK ELIGIBILITY:
Drawing, Painting
Original and completed within the last three years.
Appropriate for family audiences.
Only 2-D works accepted.
Measure works carefully before entry.:
Sizes to be qualified Between;
Min: 11”x17”
Max: 24”-36”
Works must be framed
SELECTION PROCESS:
The First Step of Election for selecting 10 of the best artworks
Notifications after the first step of Election are sent by email
Award Ceremony to nominate best 3 and 2 honorable mentions out of 10.
ENTRY PROCEDURE:
Online submission of The Artist Agreement Form with attached photo of the work and the artist.
Attach label to back with name, title.
A narrative description of the work
AWARDS:
1st place wins: $1000
2nd place wins: $750
3rd place wins: $500
Honorable mention wins: $200(2 honorable mentions will be awarded)
NOTIFICATION AND INVITATIONS:
All artists will receive notice by email. A list of accepted artists and artwork will be posted on Niagara Foundation website.Winning artists will be invited for the award ceremony. Please set your email account to recognize this address: HYPERLINK “mailto:[email protected]” [email protected].
DELIVERY:
Entering this art contest shall constitute understanding and agreement on the part of the artist with the conditions stated.
1. Measure to ensure work meets size limitations before delivery. Work not in compliance will not be accepted. No exceptions.
2. Attach label to back with name, title.
3. All shipped work must include a bar-coded shipping label.
4. Work must arrive on scheduled dates.
5. Artwork and entry materials will be handled with all possible care. NF will not be responsible or liable for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever. Insurance, if desired, must be carried by the artist.

IMPORTANT:
*Work cannot be withdrawn before end of the award ceremony.
*The winning artworks will be the property of NF
*Images of accepted artworks may be used at the sole discretion of NF for promotional purposes including but not limited to the invitation, catalog, web site, or on subsequent years’ prospectus.
*Top 10 artworks will be displayed ad the Mothers Shaping the World and Mothers of Abraham’s Children Panels on May 10-11, 2012
*Artwork from non-winning artist will be returned upon request after the Awards Ceremony on May 5th, 2012. (Please provide a detailed address on the back of submission that you want returned, as well as postage and packaging for the return of the artwork).
*Non-winning artwork can be picked up by the artists after the ceremony until May 30, 2012. There is no storage facility to accommodate late pick up. Works not picked up will become the property of NF.

The First Step of Election: May 6, 2012
