Duties of Education Committee of The Ohio House of Representatives

Jerry received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University College of Engineering in 1963, and his juris doctorate from Capital University in 1970, the same year he was admitted to the Ohio Bar. Jerry was also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar in 1973. Jerry concentrates on personal injury, wrongful death, business litigation and domestic relations cases. During the 1970’s, Jerry was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Franklin County and a Lancaster City Council Member. From 1989 to 1991, Jerry was President of the Lancaster Board of Education. He was Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General from 1996 to 2006. He was elected State Representative for Fairfield County in November 2006. He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law.

Jerry is a member of the Fairfield County, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Association for Justice, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Jerry served as Chairman of the Board of the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce for 2006.
