Happy Ramadan from Niagara Foundation!

Today marks the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The month holds significance as the month that the Islamic holy book, the Qu’ran, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

Muslims observe Ramadan by fasting–abstaining from food and drink–each day from sunrise to sunset. Fast is broken at iftar, the evening meal. There are also extra prayers and opportunities for worship throughout the holy month.

We at the Niagara Foundation wish everyone a happy and blessed Ramadan!
