The work of Honorary Consul is covering trade and cultural relations, consular issues and helping individual Finnish citizens in the area. Being an engineer, M.Sc. from University of Technology in Finland, and working in manufacturing industry all over the world has made him to understand that good education is a basis for economic development and success in life.

This has encouraged him to attend in school reform discussions by attending school reform forums and bring Education Specialists from Finland to Chicago. The educational issues have become a major component in cultural relations of his work after he was appointed as Honorary Consul of Finland in Chicago, IL in 2009.
