Bruce Dold joined the Tribune in 1978 as a reporter and covered city, state and national politics. Dold joined the editorial board in 1990. He became deputy editorial page editor in 1995 and editorial page editor in 2000.
Dold wrote a weekly column for the Tribune from 1995 to 2000 and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1994. Under his direction, the editorial board has won a dozen national awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in 2003.
