Ethiopia Mourns
Niagara Foundation vehemently condemns the recent massacre of 28 Ethiopian Christians at the hand of ISIL. The killings, committed in Libya, were filmed and dispersed by ISIL members.
We in no way condone the murderous, criminal actions of ISIL and abhor the violence demonstrated in their operations. Their actions stand in direct opposition of our work to develop a more peaceful and inclusive society.
Additionally, we condemn the collaboration of six Somali-American Minnesotans with ISIL. The six were recently arrested and charged with “conspiracy to aid and support a terrorist organization,” and their support negates our mission of creating a less violent community.
We keep the loved ones of those killed in our thoughts, and stand with Libya’s condemnation of the tragic event.
