Cooperation & Compromise in Congress
The Civic Leadership Program and the Niagara Foundation are proud to sponsor “Cooperation & Compromise in Congress” at the University of Illinois.
This lecture event will feature a keynote speech by Senator Dick Durbin. Senator Durbin is the senior United States Senator from Illinois and the Senate Majority Whip, which is the second highest ranking position in the United States Senate.
Senator Durbin will address topics such as political gridlock in Washington and the revival of the United States economy in a time of global recession.
There will be a reception following the event with hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
Please join us for this special eventon Monday, October 24th at 5pm. It will be held in the Reading Room on the first floor of the Levis Faculty Center in Urbana, IL, which is right by Illinois Street Residence Halls and Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
