Rick White is vice president-Corporate Communications for Wisconsin Energy Corporation and is responsible for strategic communications and public relations for the company; for We Energies, its electric and natural gas utility subsidiary with 2.2 million metered customers; for We Power, its non-utility energy project development subsidiary; and for Wispark, its real estate development subsidiary.
Rick joined Wisconsin Energy from Carolina Power and Light Company (now Duke Energy), where he was vice president-Communications and Community Relations following earlier assignments in issues management, strategic planning, internal communications and media relations. Prior to his work at CP&L, Rick led state-wide public affairs activities in South Carolina for GTE (now Verizon). Following graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rick served as a squadron commander and as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Air Force.
In the community, Rick has chaired United Way campaigns in two different communities and is past chair of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Board of Visitors, the Milwaukee Urban League’s Board of Directors and the Public Policy Forum’s Board of Trustees. He currently serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.
