Dear Friends,
For the Muslim faith, Ramadan is the holiest and the most significant month of the year. It is a time for fasting during daylight hours, prayer, charity events, and self-reflection.
As well as being the month of fasting and spiritual growth, Ramadan is the month when Muslims, along with their family members, reach out to friends, neighbors, and communities from various cultures and religions, get together at Iftar, the evening meal with which Muslims end daily the Ramadan fast at sunset, and share conversations with them.
The Niagara Foundation, the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and the Catholic Theological Union are organizing an Interfaith Iftar Dinner program on Saturday, March 16th at 6:00 pm at Catholic Theological Union, 5416 S Cornell Ave, Chicago, IL 60615.
We would be honored to have you at this Interfaith gathering together with community and religious leaders from various communities.
We look forward to seeing you at the Interfaith Iftar.
