Helping Survivors of Hurricane Sandy

The Niagara Foundation’s Center for Social Responsibility would like to offer its sincerest condolences to the victims of Hurricane Sandy and their families. Experts have labeled Hurricane Sandy as the worst storm to strike the United States, killing almost 100 people and incurring about $50 billion in damages. Sandy has completely ravaged the eastern coast, destroying homes and public buildings, leaving millions without power and hundreds displaced. Parts of New York and New Jersey are still underwater, and it will take several months to repair damages.

NGOs— including the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and World Vision— have worked hard to provide shelter, food, and medical aid to victims. However, due to the growing demand of needs, donations and volunteers are still greatly needed. The Niagara Foundation is partnering with the Helping Hands Relief Foundation in order to help raise money for hurricane Sandy victims. Please visit www.hhrelief.org to make a financial contribution or to donate your time as a volunteer.

It is our hope that we can all stand in unity during this dire time of need, and that we can bestow our love and support to the victims.
