“The State of the Middle East Forum” is an annual Fall platform of the Niagara Forums that focus on political, social and economic challenges and important issues in the Middle East.
The Niagara Foundation is pleased to present “The State of the Middle East Forum: The U.S. Response to ISIS: Challenges and Strategies”
Our distinguished speakers from various fields and backgrounds all from around the Greater Chicago land area will spotlight the general issues facing the Middle East today. They will analyze important issues with regards to ISIS and United States’ response and strategies against the terrorist group.
The forum will consist of two panels. The first panel will look at the general state of the Middle East, featuring Hon. Roey Gilad, the Consul General of Israel and Hon. Maged Refaat, the Consul General of Egypt along with our Moderator, Dr. Laith Saud of DePaul University. The second panel will focus on ISIS and the United States’ response, policies and strategies against the terrorist group featuring Dr. Scott Hibbard of DePaul University and Dr. Wendy Pearlman of Northwestern University.
There will be Q&A sessions after each panel, where our guests will be able to ask questions about the topics discussed in the panels.
